# porpor > porpor is the free iPhone app for poking your besties. One tap and your bestie gets a por. Build streaks, play POR GAMES, collect badges and climb the top lists. porpor is the fastest way to say "thinking of you" without typing a thing. One tap and your bestie gets a por. They por back. And that's where it starts. (a por is a poke. it's Dutch, and we kept it.) - App Store: Coming soon to the App Store - iPhone, iOS 18.0+. Android will follow later. - Free. No ads. No email or password needed. ## What is porpor? porpor is an iPhone app for sending your friends a por. A por is a digital poke: you tap the button, your bestie gets a notification. No text, no photo, no hassle. Just "hey, thinking of you". ("Por" is Dutch for poke, and yes, we kept it.) After your por it's your bestie's turn. If they por back the same day, your streak grows. Around that sits a whole world: games to send each other, badges to collect, top lists per duo and a SUPERPOR you can only give when you're actually together. ## How it works 1. **Lock in with your bestie.** Scan your bestie's QR code or send them your code. Works even if your bestie is on the other side of the world. 2. **Tap POR.** Done. Your bestie gets a notification and can por back without opening the app. 3. **Keep the streak alive.** After your por it's your bestie's turn. No por back before the day is over? You got ghosted 👻 ## Everything that's in it ### 🔥 Streaks, per duo Por each other on the same day and your streak grows. Skip a day and it's gone. No pressure. The app shows "your turn!" when your bestie already porred, and at 8 pm you get one reminder if a streak is waiting on you. - Taking turns: after your por it's your bestie's move - Rally 🏓: por back and forth within a minute - Por back straight from the notification, without opening the app ### 💬 Messages that disappear Send a por with an emoji, a short message or your location. Once your bestie has seen it, it's gone. The message never shows up in the notification itself. - 140 characters max, that's all you need - Location only when you add it - Badges unlock extra emoji ### 🎮 POR GAMES Send a game instead of a plain por. You set it up, your bestie guesses. Every move is a por, so your streak stays alive. - Higher or lower 🔢: guess the number - Hangman 🔤: guess the word, with hearts instead of a gallows - Draw & guess ✏️: draw something and see if your bestie gets it ### 💥 SUPERPOR Actually together? That's when the SUPERPOR shows up. One per day, per duo. Only for people who meet up IRL. Your phone notices a bestie close by over Bluetooth. Strangers never see who you are. - Counts as a streak day for both of you - Its own badge and its own top list - Bluetooth only turns on when you choose to ### 🐐 Badges and the GOAT Over 30 badges to collect, plus a few secret ones you have to find yourself. Got them all? You're officially the GOAT, with a rainbow ring around your avatar. - Ninja Reflexes 🥷: por back within 10 seconds - Ghostbuster 👻: get ghosted and still get a por back - Twinsies 👯: become friends with someone who has the same avatar ### 🌍 Top lists Which duo pors the most? Check the global top list, the longest streaks, the best rallies, the most SUPERPORS and the duos in your country or your area. And the GOATs: who has the most badges? - Top lists per duo, not per person - For your area we only keep a rough region, never your exact spot - You decide whether you join the neighbourhood list ## No hassle porpor knows as little about you as possible. That keeps things simple, and safe. - No email, no password, no phone number - Pick a nickname and an emoji, that's all we need to know - Only people who have your code can por you - No ads, no trackers - Delete your account anytime, right in the app - [Read the privacy policy](https://porpor.be/en/privacy.md) ## Frequently asked questions ### What is porpor? porpor is a free iPhone app for sending your friends (your besties) a por.
